Yellow-Capped Pygmy Parrot - 5x7

The art of the “Yellow Capped Pygmy Parrot” is from John Gould’s book “Birds of the World” from the “Birds of New Guinea” section. Gould remarks that they have many unusual characteristics … they are very small … only 3 ½” long, that their beak seemed oversized for the bodies and that they live in the lowland forests. tThey creep up trees like Woodpeckers and roost in holes and hollow tree trunks. Fits the 5x7 hoop.
