The flowers are quick and easy to make. Lightweight cotton fabric is used for the backing and felt is used for the actual flower. Straight stitch outline is done entirely in the hoop. Then you cut around the shapes close to the stitching, stack the flowers and sew/glue buttons, beads, rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, etc. as desired. Headbands, barrettes, pillows, etc. can be embellished with the three dimensional flowers. The flowers can be attached to clothing and fabric purses as a three dimensional applique.
