Biscornu Wedding Pillow and Pincushion 1
What is biscornu? The name is derived from the French adjective, biscornu.
It is pronounced “biss-core-new”. ‘Bis’ means ‘twice’, and ‘cornu’ means ‘with horns’, that which has an irregular form, with projections, or complicated and bizarre.
A biscornu is a small (they are typically able to fit in the palm of your hand), 8-sided, stuffed ornamental pincushion or decorative pillow.
Usually the top and bottom of the cushion are decorated with embroidery.
A button is typically secured in the center of the cushion to give a small depression on the top.
Beads, tassels and other objects can decorate the biscornu! Instructions are included.
