FSL Christmas Crescent Ornament - 3 Sizes!

FSL Christmas Crescent Ornament - Free Standing Lace ITH project Design in 3 sizes for hoops 5x7" and 6x8". This lace pendant can be used as Christmas Tree Ornaments or window suncatchers to decorate your home. You can add reflective piece of glass on bottom of your light catcher and hand indoors at windows to "catch the light" from a nearby source.

Free Standing lace, as the name implies, is a lace that you don't have to stitch on other fabric.
For stitching FSL designs you need water-soluble stabilizer (The ones that look like fabric I've found to be best, not the transparent ones that look like film). For better results you can use 2 layers of stabilizer and hoop them very tightly.
Stitch it as regular design. If lace is to be seen from both sides, use matching bobbin thread but it's not necessary.
After stitching remove embroidery from the hoop. Cut excess stabilizer from all around the embroidery. Wash embroidery in warm water. Let dry and iron it (if it required). See PDF below for sizes.
