Instead of the usual satin applique edge, this daisy has a very thick penstitch running along the edge, that makes it look as though there was a thin satin ribbon placed along the edge. To prevent fraying, the applique fabric is “bonded” with light interfacing. Combine with ricrac or ribbon to create a stem or leaves. For the 5x7 hoops. A great design to use up your stash of fabric scraps. Also lovely in the center of a pillow for a little girl’s bedroom.
